Privacy policy

iGo2Wash provides the software. The car wash you gave your details to decides what customer information it collects and why, and is the controller of that information. iGo2Wash processes it on their behalf.

• Your email address.
• Optionally a first name, last name and vehicle registration.
• A record of each wash, and each free wash earned or redeemed.
• Whether you agreed to receive marketing, on which channel, and when.

We do not ask loyalty customers to create an account or a password, and we do not build a profile of you across different car washes.

Giving a car wash your email address so they can send your loyalty card is not consent to marketing, and we do not treat it as such. Enrolment messages, and messages about your own washes and rewards, are service messages.

Promotional offers require a separate opt-in that is never pre-ticked. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message, and the withdrawal is recorded with a timestamp. Withdrawing marketing consent never affects your loyalty card or the washes you have earned.

Every customer record belongs to a single car wash. There is no cross-business search, and no car wash can find out whether an email address belongs to a customer of any other business on iGo2Wash. This is enforced by the software on the server, not just by hiding things in the interface.

The link to your loyalty card contains a long random code. It does not contain your email address or any account number, and the same is true of the QR code on your card page. The QR code identifies your membership only - it cannot be edited to change your wash count, because the count lives on our server and only a member of staff can add a wash.

Loyalty history is kept while you are a customer of that car wash, because it is what proves how many washes you have earned. Washes are never silently deleted; corrections are recorded as reversals so the history stays honest.

You can ask a car wash for a copy of the information they hold about you, ask them to correct it, or ask them to delete it. Contact the car wash directly, or email us at support@igo2wash.co.uk and we will pass the request on and help them action it.

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep car wash staff signed in and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies, so there is no consent banner to click through.
